Saga is the smallest prefecture in the island of Kyushu in Japan. Saga prefecture is situated at the north east part of the island. Though it is the smallest, Saga has a considerable number of interesting aspects. These aspects have given Saga prefecture a distinction among other prefectures. The location of Saga prefecture is such that it had been an important gateway between other major parts of mainland Asia. As a result, throughout history, Saga has been an important center for the advent of foreign cultures.

The ten main cities in the Saga prefecture are, Saga , Imari, Kanzaki, Karatsu, Kashima, Ogi, Takeo, Tosu, Taku and Ureshino.
Saga prefecture has a good transportation system. In Saga there is the local Saga airport, ten railway service providers with many railways and many national highways that ensure efficient bus services.
