Located in the northeastern United States, Connecticut is the third smallest state by area and the fourth most densely populated state. It borders states of New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. It is bounded by the Long Island Sound to the south.

Connecticut has earned a few nicknames such as The Constitution State (official), The Nutmeg State, and The Provisions State. Its capital city is Hartford while Bridgeport is the most populous city.
