Saigon river rises from the south eastern Cambodia and is one of the south Vietnam rivers. The Saigon river of Vietnam encircles the Ho Chi Minh City in the eastern side and forms an estuary in the Ganh Rai Bay. The Saigon river is joined 18 miles northeast of Ho Chi Minh City by the Dong Nai River. Above the Ho Chi Minh City lies the Ben Cat River and here it again the Saigon River joins it.
Saigon River of Vietnam is very much valuable to Ho Chi Minh City as it supplies water to the entire city along with the Saigon port. Infact the Saigon River is a valuable gift of nature to this city. The port of the Ho Chi Minh City is very important in Southeast Asia and is easily navigable by ships with drafts up to 30 feet.
The Saigon River not only provides water supply to the Ho Chi Minh City but also provides a great linking bridge for the country's trade and business.
