Texas School Education
Texas school education is carried on as per the guidelines of Texas Education Agency. Formal schooling in Texas begins at the pre-kindergarten level. This is followed by elementary school, middle school and high school levels. Apart from the level-wise classification, schools in Texas can be of three types: public, private or charter.

Texas Drivers Education is conducted by the Driver Training division of Texas Education Agency (TEA). Texas Driver Training and Education is housed in 1701 North Congress Avenue, Room 1-109, Austin, Texas 78701-1494. Texas Driver Training Division issues licenses to all commercial driver training institutes and instructors.

Driver education Program
There are almost three hundred TEA approved driver education schools across all Texas cities and towns that offer driver education program. A detailed list is available with Driver Training Division.
Driving Safety
Driving safety discourses can either be in the form of traditional classroom lessons, or on-line, or in the way of Video/CD/DVD. There are over 950 traditional classrooms throughout Texas offering driving safety lessons. In addition to traditional classroom discussions Video, CD and DVD are distributed through various distributors in Texas.
Drug and Alcohol driving awareness program (DADAP)
DADAP is a 6 hour course taught in classrooms only. There are approximately 120 locations where this program is taught. A sizable proportion among these 120 schools, undertake special courses for teenage drivers.
Driving safety specialized course commonly termed 'seat belt' course
Specialized driving safety is a 6 hour course which can be imparted through classroom lessons or on-line discourses. There are four schools one each in Dallas, El Paso, Huntsville, and Luibbock that undertake the 'seat belt' course. On-line instructions are also available.
