The southern regions experiences moderate rainfall between 1,000 to1,500 millimeters annually, from December to April.

semi-arid in nature. Here, rainfall is scanty and severe cyclic droughts affect normal living all round the year. As the hottest part of the country, its average temperature rises to 38°C and even more between May and November.
