Benin is located in the western part of Africa. The ideal time of planning for a Benin travel is during the months of November and February. Most of western Africa's attractions can be located in Benin.

For getting to Benin, there are flights from Belgium, France and many countries of Africa. Air France and Point Afrique are two major airlines for getting to Benin. One can also reach Lome in Togo by air and reach Cotonou by taxi. It takes about a minimum of 14 hours to reach Cotonou from Niger. There are also different road links between Cotonou, Porto Novo, accra and Lome with Lagos, Parakou and Kara in Togo and Cotonou and Niamey (Niger). One can avail a bus too.

For the purpose of getting around in Benin there are flights between Natitingou, Cotonou, Djougou, Parakou and Kandi. There are train services from Cotonou to Pobe, Parakou and Quidah. Mini bus and bush taxis are available for traveling in Benin. One can also hire a car.
