Law in Colombia

Law in Colombia is advocated by the judiciary of Colombia that is the responsible for the set up of the national morale. The Columbia Supreme court is a part of the judiciary. The Judiciary however, is not free from the executive branch, though the latter is not even completely empowered to interfere in all matter of law and the Judiciary decision. The Ministry of Justice is responsible for the actual functioning of both the executive and the legislative branch and it is through the ministry that the executive branch can affect the workings of the judiciary.

Maintenance of law in Colombia is through the organized four-tier system of the Supreme Court. There are separate branches for looking after the matters of criminal law, labor laws, civil laws as well as constitutional procedure. The first three form the Plenary Committee. The special power of the Plenary Committee is to look into matters of legal issues concerning high government and also legal issues regarding foreign matters. Below the Supreme Court is the District superior courts followed by the judicial courts. The issues of the lower municipal circuit, juvenile, and specialized courts are looked after by the District superior courts.

Law in Colombia is very efficiently handled by the judiciary and there are several law schools in Colombia, which train lawyers to deal with the Colombia law.
