The city of Mao is located in the Kanem region of Chad in Africa. Mao is also the capital of Kanem. There are almost 13,227 people residing at Mao. Mao is located at 14.04N Latitude and 15.19E Longitude, at an altitude of 278 meters.
The city, situated at the Saharan borders is marked by the small hills that are made up of sands. Being an arid land with humid weather conditions, there is sparse vegetation in the land.
