The city of Linia lies in the Chari-Baguirmi region of Chad in Africa. It is located at an altitude of 294 meters with12.0533 Latitude and 5.3075 Longitude.

The Language spoken by the people of Linia is Baguirmi language. The rulers of this region are known as Mbang. In the year 2003, Anthony Kimball developed the language by introducing Keyman input method and a font so that the Baguirmi alphabets could be provided with a support. The Baguirmi literature was distributed among the people in Chad by David Raun.

As a means of recreation and for promoting cultural and social activities in the community, traditional musicians were brought to Linia. The songs of these musicians were related to the importance and benefits provided by the forests. The songs also conveyed that unity lies in the strength of the people.
