Venezuela Military plays a critical role in the external defense of the country. Its aim is to take care of the country's national security as well as maintain domestic peace. The defense industry included the State owned Venezuelan Military Industries Company known as CAVIM, which was introduced by the Presidential Decree on 29th of April in the year of 1975. This was established to encourage the growth of domestic defense industry as well as to produce the material needs of the Venezuelan Military.

Air force is perhaps the most important part of
Venezuela Military. The air force consists of different squads, the most important of which is the bomber group. On the other hand, the navy protects the country from any kind of sea invasion. However each of the segments is an important component of Venezuela Military and is taken care of by the Venezuela Government.
