The statistics provided by the Monaco Health department reveals that the health condition here is satisfactory. Monaco Health services here are provided by the Monaco Health department ran by the Government. Each year the government spends a fair amount of money for health purposes. According to the reports of 2004, a total amount of $ 4,744 was spent for health reasons by the government. The infant mortality rate is very low, only 5 of the 1000 children have a threat of life at the time of birth. Possibilities of death under the age of five are almost none, only 4 children in per 1000.
The country is a small one which actually helps the Government to maintain the health system of the country. The hospitals have trained nurses and attendants who are ready to help the patients any time of the day. In 1995, there were 42 registered physicians in the country along with 31 dentists, 293 nurses and 64 pharmacists all over the country. AIDS is a major problem all over the world now. But in Monaco, the situation is still under control. In 1996, only 37 cases of AIDS patients were reported.
The tourists need no extra medical protection to visit this country. But according to the doctors, patients may suffer from influenza due to the change of climate. So it is advised that tourists visiting Monaco between November and April should take an influenza vaccine a pre caution. The chances of the tourists getting sick here is less, the beautiful country rather makes them feel better and healthier than ever.
