In fact the whole of United Arab Emirates is dotted with mosques but there was an increase in this trend in the 1970's and 80's. The Grand Mosque: This mosque in Dubai was originally built in the year1900 and is located in the Bur Dubai section of the city. The mosques has the typical Persian detailing such as domes, an inspiring sky-blue mosaic, sand-hued facades, handmade stained glass, and wooden shutters. Non- Muslims are not allowed inside this mosque.
Jumeirah Mosque : One of the most important and noted landmark of the city is the Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai which is located near the beach area. This Mosque is a magnificent example of the contemporary take on traditional Muslim architecture. Non Muslims are not allowed inside this Mosque in Dubai.
