Micronesia Agriculture is the chief economic activity of the island nation. Employing approximately 50% of the total population, the sector of agriculture is one of the major features of Micronesia Economy and Business. Agriculture in Micronesia also provides almost 60% of the total amount of food consumed in the country.

The chief agricultural products of Micronesia include black pepper, coconuts, copra, tropical fruits and vegetables, bananas, betel nuts, cassava, sweet potatoes, sakau, chickens, pigs, fish. Black pepper cultivated in different parts of the island nation forms one of the chief cash crops of Micronesia. Black pepper is sold in local markets, it also features as an export item of Micronesia.

Copra, which was the chief cash crop of Micronesia has lost some of its importance after the decrease in prices after 1980s. Coconut and coconut- oil products like soaps, oils, shampoos, etc are also significant agricultural products of Micronesia. Charcoal is also produced from coconut shells in Pohnpei, Micronesia.

Livestock is reared throughout Micronesia and the products are popular in the local markets of Micronesia. Goats, cattle and buffalo are also raised in Micronesia. These parts of Micronesia agricultural produce are also beneficial for the development of the economic sector.
