Since Kenya is located in the equatorial region, it is often faced with health problems. The state of health in Kenya or we can say Kenya helath is average, and going through rapid improvement procedures. Visitors to Kenya are therefore required to undergo extensive immunization procedures before setting foot on Kenyan soil.
Being situated in the tropical region, there are a variety of
tropical diseases which are prevalent in Kenya. Various health related measures are currently being undertaken to take care of
Kenya health problems. The government and the
USAID are actively involved in
Kenya's health projects.
Among the diseases prevalent in Kenya, there is Yellow Fever, which is transmitted through mosquito bites, liver infection diseases Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis E, which are transmitted through person to person contact, Malaria, Rabies and Typhoid Fever. Apart from these, a major cause for concern are sexually transmitted diseases, most notably HIV/AIDS which is a big worry for Kenya.
