Laguna Verde in Chile

Laguna Verde in Chile is a very popular spot among the tourists around the globe. It is actually a salt lake, which is a landlocked lake with a lot more salt and minerals than other lakes. The Laguna Verde Lake lies in the Andes Mountains in the northern part of Chile.

The lake is near the San Francisco Pass in the Atacama Region. There are high mountains surrounding the lake. This wonderful lake with emerald green water is well connected with the other parts of the country. It lies in the third region and is one hundred kilometers away from the Maricunga Salar. The best time to visit this lake is the three months of the year. The weather here is much like that of a desert. There is a big difference in the day and night temperature.
