Brunei- health facilities and health conditions are some of the best in the whole of South East Asia. Brunei is a member of World Health Organization (WHO). WHO sponsors and finances many of the health programs of Brunei. The government of Brunei takes special steps to improve the health conditions of the people.
According to the survey of 2004, 3.2% of Brunei’s GDP was dedicated towards the betterment of health conditions in Brunei. Life expectancy at birth for male and female are 76 years and 79 years respectively.
The infant mortality rate is also very low in Brunei owing to the country’s improved health conditions. It is only 10 deaths per 1000 live births. HIV-AIDS cases are also low. According to the 2003 survey less than 200 cases was reported in Brunei.
