Prince Jefri, Brunei is the brother of the ruling monarch, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of the country. Son of the Sultan of Brunei Omar Ali Saifuddin III and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, Prince Jefri belongs to the royal family of Brunei. He is a married man and has a large family of his own.
Well known for his lavish lifestyle, Prince Jefri of Brunei is a connoisseur of art. His collection of various valuable articles makes him one of the major collectors of different objects of art. Most of his income has been spent on the various objects of art including watches, jewelry, silverware, etc.
Prince Jefri of Brunei served as the finance minister of the country for a period of time. He was accused of embezzling a large sum of money while serving his term as the finance minister by Sultan Bolkiah of Brunei. However, the accusation was taken back and the lawsuit filed against him was settled outside court and the charges were dropped.
Prince Jefri was also the Chairman of the Brunei Investment Agency. He was responsible for investing the benefits from revenue to earn more profits. He was accused of misappropriating this fund. Many of his assets were sold in an auction to retrieve the money.
