Qatar custom are known all throughout the world for its rigidness and strictness. There are certain rules and regulations that have to be followed as part of custom of Qatar. Most of the people in Qatar are Arabic in origin and are followers of Islam. As they are descendants of the Arabic culture, hospitality is there is the blood of Qatari people. All the people in the country are extremely generous and friendly. Though open to tourists and visitors of Qatar, the society of Qatar is basically conservative in its attitude.

There are many do's and don'ts in Qatar, which have to be strictly followed by the citizens of the country. The first thing that comes to our mind regarding the custom in Qatar is the dress. Most of the dresses are traditional and conservative. Men wear long white flowing robes, which are covered from the head to the toe. The dress of women in Qatar is also conservative. They wear a full black cloak over the normal dress, while in some places, they wear only the veil to cover their face.
Typical Islamic cuisine is preferred in Qatar, the main ingredients being rice, fish, meat and vegetables cooked with Indian spices. There are many restaurants in Qatar as well as Doha, which serve authentic Qatar cuisine. Consumption of alcohol is looked down by the Qatari people.
