Moldova houses a single international airport at Chisinau. Moldova Airport at Chisinau saw its establishment at a time when developments in the sphere of transport and communication were on the rise. It was in the year 1944 that the Moldavian independent squadron was set up. Following this further developments were made and by the year 1987, Moldova served as the place that provided connectivity to as many as 20 destinations.

The International Airport of Moldova at Chisinau also happens to be a member of the ACI-Europe World Association of Airports and Airport CA-Interstate Association of CIS and Baltic countries.
