Universities in Estonia

There are two major universities in Estonia. These are the Tallinn University and the University of Tartu. The universities of Estonia offer both graduate and post graduate programs in various fields. These universities have both hostel and library facilities for the students.

A large number of foreign students also come to take admission in the universities in Estonia. The University of Tartu is a national university of Estonia founded Swedish king Gustav II Adolph in 1632. The campus of this university has got museums, gardens as well as sports ground. They put a greater stress on research based programs. This emerged as the first Language University of Estonia in 1919.

On the other hand, the Tallinn University is another famous university of Estonia. It came into being on 18th of March, 2005. It is very popular especially for its well developed social science and humanities departments. It has got a total of six faculties, four research institutions, two regional colleges and two academic institutions.
