The Oriente Region of the Ecuador refers to the Amazon Basin of Ecuador which forms one of the four geographic divides of Ecuador, the Andes Highlands, the coatal region, the lowlands and the Oriente regions. The Oriente Region or El Oriente is synonymous to the Rain forest region of Ecuadorian Amazon, though a part of it is also found in Cuba. 6 provinces of Ecuador make up the Oriente region, the including Sucumbíos, Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago and Zamora Chinchipe. The weather condition in the Oriente region is hot and humid throughout the year and it is mostly rainy. The dry season is literally non-existent but it usually the December to April is called the dry season because of the relatively low rains.
