Somalia is situated on the eastern part of Africa. Somalia has Djibouti on the northeastern part of it while Ethiopia lies on the western part of the country.

Somalia is bounded by Kenya on the southwestern part. Somalia is bounded by the Gulf of Aden on the north of it and the Indian Ocean on the south. The estimated total area of Somalia is 637,657 square kilometer. Out of this, the total land area of Somalia is 627,337 square kilometer while the water area is 10,320 square kilometer.
