Galati



Galati is a renowned city in the eastern part of Romania. Located on the banks of river Danube, the Romanian city is the capital of Galati County. The city is situated in close proximity to Braila.
Galati is the seventh largest city of Romania, with a population of about three lakh people. Like most of the Romanian cities, this city of Romania also has a long and solid historical background. The first reference of this city had been found in the year 1445. The city has faced many strong revolts and revolutions in the past. The Galati shipyard is one of the oldest shipyards in Romania.

Galati has a continental type of climate, which is perfect for production of high-quality wine in the city. Economic activity in the city is mainly concentrated around the iron and steel industry and shipbuilding industry. Many small industries are also found in the Romanian city of Galati. Galati in Romania also acts as a good academic site for naval architecture and food technology students.
