There are several sightseeing places in Porto that entices the tourists of the country. Póvoa de Varzim is a poor fishing community turned popular resort, which boasts of the picturesque views of sandy beaches and opportunities of unparalleled amusements in casinos and nightclubs. Espinho is a holiday resort famous for casino and beaches. Matosinhos Matosinhos is a port, which is famous forbeautiful coastline andgastronomic delights.

The port also displays valuable patrimony of the monuments present at Order of Hospitallers, Monastery of Leça do Bailio and the fortified church of the region. Vila Nova de Gaia is famous for wine production. There are several Port lodges in this region. Other then regular sightseeing activities, tourist can also enjoy sports and adventurous activities in this region. Porto Gulf Club,Miramar and Amarante are important golf courses of the region.
