Health care in Djibouti, in the public sector, is divided into a number of ministries. However, the major portion of the responsibilities is borne by Ministry of Public Health and Social Affairs. The infrastructure of health services in Djibouti can be divided into a number of different units. The health department of Djibouti also provides medical services to the people residing in the remote areas besides the urban sector. There are a number of district hospitals too in Djibouti.

Hopital Generale Peltier is one of the most important hospitals in Djibouti. This hospital caters to the patients with both primary and specialized medical services. Besides, there is also a childcare hospital and a maternity hospital in Djibouti. Apart from the public sector health care in Djibouti, there are also three private clinics at Djibouti. There is a department of psychiatry in the Hopital Generale Peltier in Djibouti that takes care of the psychologically dis-balanced patients.
