The republican head of Venezuela is the president, who serves a period of six years. The Venezuela government is a coalition government formed by the parties Democratic Action Party and the Social Christian Party.
Like the government of a democratic state, the government of Venezuela has three wings - the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. 23 states, 11 island groups and a federal district together comprise the country of Venezuela. The Venezuela legislature is bicameral consisting of a Chamber of Deputies and a Senate. The members should be of thirty years of age and should be a Venezuelan national to be a part of the country's legislature. They are elected through the ballot system.
The Venezuela Executive is led by the president, who represents the state. The president should be a national of Venezuela and should not be less than thirty years of age. The president serves for a period of five years. He can also be reelected for a second term.
The Venezuela Judiciary does not share an equal status with the legislature. There is no national or state court in Venezuela. The Venezuela government is run according to the 1999 constitution and has been successfully running the country through all odds.
