The third largest Serbia city is Subotica. Subotica was one of the richest cities in Serbia. Wealthy tradesmen of fruit and wheat inhabited the city of Subotica. The city also speaks of the architectural expertise of the inhabitants of Serbia. The beautiful city hall with its tower is built according to the 'art nouveau' style in the year 1910. The other remarkable sights are the glass windows of Pest Master Max Roth. Even the portraits of Kossuth, empress Maria - Theresia, Hunyadi and Rakoczi are also worth visiting. Even the edifices are symbols of Secessionist style.
Subotica was mainly a Jewish settlement. The Jewish Dezso Jakab and Marcell Komor built the synagogue in the art nouveau style. Subotica also tower many historical edifices built by the Hungarians, Germans, Austrians and so on. The most beautiful building in Subotica is the Likovni suskret.
