Paraguay or officially the Republic of Paraguay is a country at South America. The Paraguay -Government is of the republic type. In the Paraguay -Government there are 18 departments. The constitution to run the government of Paraguay was propagated on 20th June in the year 1992.
In the government in Paraguay the chief of the state is the President. The President of Paraguay is also the head of the government of Paraguay. The Council of Ministers is designated by the president at Paraguay. Both the president and the vice president are elected on the same ticket by popular voting for a term of five years.
The bicameral Congress of Paraguay comprises of an 80 member Chamber of Deputies and a 45 member Senate who are nominated concomitantly with the president through a comparative representation system. The highest court of the country is the Supreme Court. In the current government the President of Paraguay is Nicanor Duarte Frutos who was elected in the year 2003 on 15th August.
