North Korea

North Korea is a country of East Asia. It is in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The capital city of North Korea is Pyongyang. It has been occupying the northern half of the Korean peninsula. It had a major historical background. In 1950 when North Korea attacked South Korea Korean war broke out and the after the completion of it throughout the 1960s and '70s, the state-controlled economy of North Korea grew at a fast pace. It was said to be economically more stronger than the Southern part of Korea.

North Korea is formally said to be a self-reliance State. The dictatorship had been established for the purpose of ruling. Kim Il-sung, is said to be the founder of North Korea. He was the country's first and only president.

Kim Jong-il is the actual head of the state, he has been the Chairman of both the National Defense Commission and the Eternal President's son. The Supreme People's Assembly is the legislature of North Korea and is presently led by President Kim Yong-nam. The other remarkable senior government leader is Premier Kim Yong-il.

North Korea is a single-party state having an authoritarian, and totalitarian rule. The governing party is the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland, a coalition made up of three smaller parties, the Workers' Party of Korea, the Korean Social Democratic Party and the Chondoist Chongu Party. These parties nominate all candidates for office and hold all seats in the Supreme People's Assembly.

The primary language of North Korea is Korean and the culture of this country has a wide variety.
