Iceland government is democratic and is administered by the parliament. This parliamentary Iceland Government is under the rules and laws of the Iceland constitution.
Iceland government is run chiefly by the cabinet and its ministers. The executive acts of the government is run by the prime minister and other members of the cabinet. Prime minister is the head of the government of Iceland. The cabinet ministers are appointed by the president of Iceland. The ministers in cabinet can have their power till a new election is run to run the government. Except for the post of President and the judges in the Supreme court in Iceland, any person can compete to get a seat in the parliament provided that he/she is eligible to vote.
