There is a series of mountain ranges in Hungary and the two major rivers that flow through this country are Danube and Tisza. This country is basically divided into 3 geographic regions. They are as follows:

- The Great Alföld
- Northern Hills
Besides that, the special geographic features of Hungary also include several water bodies such as Lake Balaton, Lake Hévíz, the Lake Cave of Tapolca and so on.
Like all other countries, the natural features of this European country also influence the lifestyle of the entire Hungarian population.
It is assumed that the people of Hungary (originally the Magyars), came from the land of Asia during the Middle Ages population migrations. They are small in height with dark eyes and hair. They probably settled down in the Carpathian Basin, along the River Danube and established the state of Hungary in the 9th century. However, presently the Hungarians are multi ethnic people due to the different historical assimilation and conquests.
Now a days, the residents of this country relish the life-style of other industrialized nations. Besides the folk art, dance, literature and music, Hungarians are mostly known for their spicy recipes.
