Iceland Flag

The Iceland Flag resembles the Danish flag to an extent as it was one of the territories of Denmark. The national flag of Iceland is in operation officially from 1915. The flag is blue in color, with a red cross with white borders dissecting the flag in unequal parts. The red color of the flag of Iceland represents the active volcanoes on the island and the white color signifies the snowfall which is a crucial part of the climate of Iceland. The blue part on the national flag of Iceland represents both Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.
