Eritrea Government and Politics reflect the current state of administration in the country and the political conditions of the entire nation. Since its independence, this African country of Eritrea has been undergoing a stable political ambiance. In the year 1993, the Eritrean Liberation Front's splinter group of senior members joined the People's Liberation Front in Eritrea in order to form a political party.

It basically offers a multiparty political system, but in reality, there is a single-party system, which is dominated by the PFDJ. The opposition groups on the other hand, include the Eritrean Islamic Salvation party dissenting the ELF factions, but they have nothing to do with the economy of Eritrea.

According to the 2000 report, Eritrea has incorporated low customs duties on capital commodity, raw materials and intermediate industrial spare parts whereas for the luxury goods including liquor and tobacco high tariffs are being introduced.
Eritrea politics operates within a framework of a presidential republic and the President of Eritrea is considered to be the head of state as well as the head of government. It is a single-party state, which is conduced by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice.
Currently the government of Eritrea with its executive, legislative and judicial bodies is working towards the betterment of the country.
