Formerly known to be French Cameroon, the Cameroon Government was constituted on 20th May, 1972. The Cameroon Government is an unitary republic and it supports a multi-party presidential regime. The government strictly follows French Civil law System and does not acknowledge compulsory ICJ jurisdiction. Prime Minister Peter Mafany has been the active head of the Cameroon Government since 19th September, 1996.
Cameroon is not a member of the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement but it is a part of the economic reform of the Government Procurement Regulatory Board. Cameroon Government improved its trade and investment culture by allowing those sectors to participate in foreign investments which lay sealed for a long time.
The Cameroon Government consists of a rigid executive body which is ruled by the President. The Executive controls the cabinet members , the judiciary body and also the legislative body.
