The population of Deta town is 6,418. The latitudinal and the longitudinal extension of this town is 45° 23′ 20” North and 21° 13’28” East respectively. The towns and cities, which are located close to the town of Deta are Denta in the south, Voiteg in the north, Opatita in the east, and Soca and Ofsenita in the west. There are few airports, which are located close to the town of Deta in Timis County. These are Vrsac, Kovin, Arw Arad, and Tsr Traian Vuia.

The town of Deta also attracts a large number of tourists from nearby locations. The accommodation and the food service are highly commendable. The climatic conditions are no less favorable for the people coming here. The summers are warm and the winters are mild and short. Spring and autumn do not last for long. The scenic splendor of this place is appreciated by people of all ages. The ethnic population comprises of 1143 Hungarians, 4150 Romanians, 224 Gypsies, 389 Germans, 134 Bulgarians, and 329 Serbs.
