Sightseeing in Rivas

Rivas is a small town and does not have many historical and cultural points of interest, however it does present unique opportunities for experiencing nature at its best. The dense tropical foliage decking the lower slopes of the volcanoes and the banks of the lake Nicaragua and the white sands of the Pacific beaches offset each other beautifully. Apart from the surfing haven in San Juan del Sur, Rivas also provides the beautiful volcanoes and crater lakes and beaches. The hiking and climbing the volcanoes is a common and well loves and very rewarding pursuit. The crater lakes are also increasingly being used for water sports activities.
