Language is the most critical element of Slovenia culture. Slovene is the formal language of the country, which is of Indo-European origin. Although, majority of the people in Slovenia speak this language, in certain parts of the country Hungarian and Italian are also spoken.

Legendary writers of the country include Ales Debeljak and Drago Jancar, who have taken Slovenian literature on the global scenario.
Music of Slovenia is another asset of Slovenia Culture. Traditional folk music of Slovenia is commonly associated with a kind polka. In the recent years, band music has become popular in Slovenia. Slovenia also hosts a number of music and film festivals. Slovenia Culture also is enriched by its rich heritage of other art forms like paintings, made popular globally by several skilled painters and artisans.
