Saudi Arabia Culture

Saudi Arabia culture refers to the cultural tradition of Saudi Arabia, which is very rich and diversified with people from all over the world living and working here. Saudi Arabia culture is largely influenced by Islamic values, Islamic heritage and Bedouin traditions.

The Saudi Arabian culture and society has witnessed a growth in the past few decades. The Arabian people have been influenced by different civilizations. From 3,000 B.C. onwards, Arabian merchants have been a part of an extended trade network, which extended up to Mediterranean nations, Egypt and South Asia. The introduction of Islam during the 7th century A.D. further influenced the culture of Saudi Arabia.

Following the cultural traditions of Saudi Arabia, men and women dress up in typical Arabian styles. The women must cover their head and bodies always and they are not allowed to mingle in general public, unless they are married. The western trend of dressing is not very popular among Saudi men and women.

Saudi Arabian family members offer hospitality and generosity to all their visitors. Coffee is the most common beverage and its preparation is an important tradition of Saudi Arabian people. The coffee is served along with dates and sweets and the burning of incense for greeting guests is also an important part of the Saudi Arabian culture.

Saudi Arabian culture and tradition is very rich and has a special charm and elegance of its own. It is this unique culture, which makes it a distinguished Islamic country.
