Icelandic Language

Icelandic language is the mother tongue in Iceland. The national language of Iceland is also the Icelandic language. This special language has originated from the North German language. Icelandic language has close relation with several dialects that are in vogue in the western part of Norway. The closest relation that Icelandic language has with another language can be claimed by Faroese language.

Icelandic language is the mostly spoken language in Iceland. But there are several other languages that are also spoken in this country. Like other countries, English language has its success and expansion in Iceland also. There are several English language schools in Iceland. German is also widely spoken in Iceland.
