Romania Skiing is becoming very popular day by day and it is coming within the budgets of many tourists and also the citizens of Romania. Romania is becoming a popular ski resort in Eastern Europe. Skiers are treated to wide open slopes which are perfect for amateurs. There are many established ski schools in Romania.

Romania Skiing is very well-liked as one-third of Romania is covered by the Carpathian Mountains popularly known as the Transylvanian Alps. Skiing in Romania is ideal because of the climatic conditions. The major Ski resorts in Romania are Poiana Brasov, Sinaia, Paltinis, Runcu, and Predeal.

Predeal is the highest resort in Romania. Situated at a height of 1,100 meters is located in the Budget Mountains. Poiana Brasov is the most popular ski resort in Romania. It is located in the Postavaru Mountains. The ski resort has a sub-alpine climate and in the month f January, the temperature remains around 3 degree Celsius. For the beginner, there are excellent facilities available. There are nursery slopes situated in the villages and on the plateau on the mountain top.

The ski resort of Sinaia is known as the “The Pearl of the Carpathians”. The resort is located in the Prahova Valley in the Bucegi Mountains. The snow in early December lasts till April month.
