Some of the popular caves of Romania Cave Tours are Pestera Ghetarul de la Scarisoara. This is an ice cave in the Apuseni Mountains. The Pestera Muierii also popular by the name of ‘Women’s Cave’ are famous.

The Pestera Ghetarul de la Scarisoara is an exquisite ice cave. Filled with 7500 cubic meters of ice this ice cave is supposed to be one of only ten of this category in Europe. This cave was initially acknowledged by an Austrian geographer named Arnold Schmidt in the year 1863. In the year 1921-1923, this cave was explored.

One of Romania’s splendorous caves is The Bear Cave or Pestera Ursilor. This cave was explored in the year 1975 by some quarry workers. The stalagmites and the stalactites which are found in the cave are supposed to be 22,000 to 50,000 years old. This place should always be arrived by the means of private transport.

Another popular cave in Romania is the Pestera Meziad. This cave is located near the village of Meziad. As there is no light inside the cave the tourists to this cave are advised to bring their own lights which should be as bright as possible. The cave has three levels and the entrance of the cave is the middle level.
