The stalagmites and the stalactites which are found in the cave are supposed to be 22,000 to 50,000 years old. This place should always be arrived by the means of private transport.
Another popular cave in Romania is the Pestera Meziad. This cave is located near the village of Meziad. As there is no light inside the cave the tourists to this cave are advised to bring their own lights which should be as bright as possible. The cave has three levels and the entrance of the cave is the middle level.
