Bethlehem City Guide




The city of Bethlehem is supposed to be the main hub of the tourism and the cultural sector of Palestine. According to the Gospels, Bethlehem is considered to be the birthplace of Jesus. The tour to Bethlehem surely would attract the visitors to a large extent and would give them tremendous chance to explore the city from all aspects.

The visit to Bethlehem can include seeing the traditional site of Rachel's tomb which is considered to be a significant site in Judaism. One of the largest Palestinian Christian communities of the Middle East has its base at Bethlehem. The tourists to Bethlehem can also have a visit at the Church of Nativity.

Mar Saba Monastery is another important tourist attraction at Bethlehem. The monastery was founded in the 5th century and is a Greek Orthodox monastery. It is considered as the one of the oldest at the city. Most of the travelers to Bethlehem arrive at the city via Jerusalem. The visitors can see the Old Town and experience the flavor of the Arab city.

There are good restaurants at Bethlehem where the visitors can get good food. The travelers to Bethlehem can visit the city in taxis. Many of the pilgrims prefer to walk on foot.
