Trinidad and Tobago population totals to almost 1,056,608 inhabitants. Tobago itself has a population of almost 75,000 people. The island of Trinidad and Tobago are densely populated with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. This republican island has different kinds of communities which makes the most of Trinidad and Tobago's population. The island mostly has French speaking population and the major cities of Trinidad and Tobago are populated with people from Spanish and Latin -American descent. The population is gradually increasing as more and more people are migrating from other parts of the world to these Caribbean islands. The islands render to the people a homely atmosphere along with pleasant weather conditions. Due to the effect of British colonization in the islands most of the people are followers of Christianity. There are people from other religions as well such as Hindus, Muslims and Jews in the island of Trinidad and Tobago. The primary cities, which are largely populated are Port of Spain the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, Point Fortin, Morvant, San Fernando, Chaguanas, Penal, San Juan, Tunapuna, Laventille, Sangre Grande and many others. The people of Trinidad and Tobago are peace-loving by nature and due to their successful trade transactions with other foreign countries the country has become on of the most wealthy Caribbean islands.
