The cultural ambassador of Black Peru is Peru Negro. Peru Negro is an Afro-Peruvian music which was established in the year 1969 for celebrating and conserving black culture of Peru and musica criolla.
Peru Negro was made by Ronaldo Campos de la Colina for conserving black heritage of Peru. Peru Negro accomplished a reputation as it rescued conventional dance and music and got international identification after the release of Afro-Peruvian classics called The Soul of Black Peru which featured the songs by Peru Negro, Lucila Campos, etc.
Afro-Peruvian music was amalgamated by the fabled ensemble Peru Negro. The first international recording of Peru Negro was Sangre de un Don which was released by Times Square Records in the US during the year 2001. At first Peru Negro constituted of 12 family members but now it has 30 members. All the members of Peru Negro are very talented.
The Government appointed Peru Negro as Ambassadors of Peruvian Culture. The album Heritage of a Gentleman was dedicated by Peru Negro to Ronaldo Campos de la Colina who expired in the year 2001.
