Slovenia Weather can be divided into four main regions. The region which falls in the alpine region has alpine climate. The area receives a precipitation of 2500mm.The central part of Slovenia experiences a temperate sublime climate. The summers are very hot in this type of climate accompanied with heavy rainfall. Rainfall in Slovenia is moderate to heavy.

Slovenia climate is of Mediterranean type in the coastal areas. The summers are hot and dry and winters are warm and cool. The region gets abundant sunshine .and the annual precipitation is between 1100 to 1300.

The eastern regions of Slovenia experiences continental climate.The winters are very cold with hot summers. The average temperature ranges from 8 degrees to 10 degrees. The annual temperature is around 23 degrees.

The plateaus and valleys experience continental climate. Slovenia receives an annual rainfall of 139 cm. In summer the mean temperature is nearly 20 degree and in winters the mean temperature is -1degree.

The tourists are advised to bring heavy woolen clothes in winter and raincoat is a must in the summer season.

Ljubljana has warm and breezy climate .In winters the there is heavy fog formation. The climate becomes very cold.
