Antigua University
The University of Health Sciences Antigua is a private university in Antigua, West Indies. It is also known as UHSA and was founded in 1982.Since 1983, the university is listed with the World Health Organization.
The university is situated within the Historical National Park area, a part of the English Harbor. The Downhill Campus is located about 12 miles away from St. John's, the capital city of Antigua. This University in Antigua is registered with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

The University of Health Sciences Antigua is an outstanding institution whose mission is to be in constant pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and community services. The university tries to provide continuing education to working professionals and addresses national, regional and international challenges in medical, agricultural and liberal sciences.

The University of Health Sciences Antigua offers degrees in basic sciences, clinical sciences, clinical pathway and hospital affiliations. These degrees and programs are divided into two programs- Medical Program A and Medical Program B as well as a special programs. The university offers courses in biochemistry, embryology, histology, internal medicine, emergence medicine, biology, anatomy, anesthesiology, genetics, family medicine, physiology, public health, radiology, pharmacology, pediatrics, nutrition, microbiology, pathology, neuroanatomy and behavioral sciences.

Antigua Medical School
The Medical School of Antigua is the largest and the most modern of all the medical schools in the Caribbean. Students from all over the Caribbean islands and also most part of the world come to the American University of Antigua College of Medicine to study medicine. Due to the similarity of lifestyle with the United States many students from America settle their base in this island for perusing medical education in the Medical College of Antigua. A national mandate has even been taken on the college for being the foremost contributor to the medical services in the islands of Caribbean.

The teaching technique in the Antigua Medical School is very unique. The students have more practical experience as they can practice in the hospitals in close contact with the already practicing physicians. The hospital integrated within the Antigua Medical School also helps the students to learn the intricate details about the tropical diseases. The faculties of the school are selected on the basis of their past experience and the awards. Students have to give a number of semesters before the completion of the course and at the end of fifth semester Preliminary Clinical Training courses are offeredt.
