Indonesia visa is now following a new law. The
Indonesia visa law was brought into effect from 1st of February 2004. This visa law has two main features.
Indonesia visa policy allows the travelers to have their visa after arriving in Indonesia. Another feature of Indonesia visa is that there is a free
visa facility for the travelers of certain countries and too, when they are staying there for a short period. But both these
features of the
Indonesia visa are applicable to the national of a group of particular countries. The visitors from the countries that are outside the
visa policy, have to apply for the
Indonesian visa beforehand of their arrival in this country.
The Indonesia visa that can be applied after arrival in this country, was brought into effect by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Indonesia from 1st June 2006. According to this visa law, the travelers can get their visa for staying in Indonesia for maximum thirty days. For any kind of extension of this visa period the concerned party or individual has to get the approval from Director General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia. Without permission if anyone stays longer than the visa period then they are subject to strict punishment and fines.
Indonesia visa law also allows travelers from some particular countries to stay in Indonesia for a limited time without having visa. This facility is available only for the travelers. The countries which come under this visa policy are, Brunei, Chile, Hongkong SAR, Macao SAR, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
