La Manga, Spain is a tourists' paradise on the Costa Calida. This narrow strip of land is nearly 22 km long and has an average
width of 300 meters. It splits the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Manor.

Till the 1960's La Manga remained unspoilt before being explored by the tourist industry. La Manga has sandy beaches which stretch more than 40 km. El Galan and Pino are the beaches that face the Mar Menor are very serene, while Pedrucho and El Arenal are the Mediterranean facing beaches which are livelier. These beautiful beaches attract tourists all throughout the year.

During the summer months La Manga, Spain is visited by thousands of tourists, but towards the northern end on the Mar Manor side it is more tranquil. On the northern end we get into the area of canals, with its bridges, which is known as Veneziola. The old traditional techniques of fishing are still used which can be witnessed here. The waters of the Mar Manor and the Mediterranean merge together at Las Encanezadas where one can enjoy the old reed beds.
