Micronesia geography incorporates information about the topography, climate, landforms and water bodies of the country. The geography of Micronesia comprises of as many as 607 big and small islands.

It is located at a distance of about 2,500 square miles from Hawaii. Micronesia stretches over an area of about 270.8 square miles. A unique feature of the islands is that each of them, barring Kosrae, is located around one or more than one ‘high islands’.

Of the various islands, the Pohnpei state extends over an area of 133.4 square miles. Of this total land area, the Pohnpei Island occupies a larger share of it. The state of Yap comprises of 134 atolls, 7 small islands and 4 other relatively larger islands. The climatic conditions of the Federated States of Micronesia are characterized by a warm weather throughout the year.
