Luqa in Malta is probably one of the finest tourist spots of the Maltese islands. In earlier times Luqa had been a small Maltese village which has presently expanded to a small town. It is mainly a residential area that has been appealing the tourists across the globe with its unique charm.

It is said that Luqa is named after the white poplar tree. Being nestled in an advantageous geographic location Luqa attends many travelers through out the year. While taking a trip around this picturesque town of Malta a visitor will come across several places of interest that will surely enthrall him with their unspoilt charm. Some among those destinations that worth visit have been mentioned below:

Apart from these above mentioned places Luqa at Malta also offers its guests a wide range of recreational facilities. In this context we must mention that this Maltese town has a number of village bars and band clubs from where you can always get pure entertainment.

Though shopping opportunities are not much available over here but you can always satisfy your basic requirements through this limited shopping facilities.

The tourists are suggested to visit Luqa of Malta in the months of July and September, since on 6th July the feast of St. Andrea takes place whereas on 25th September International Air show of Malta are held over here.

Malta holiday trip without a visit to Luqa is indeed an incomplete one, so do not waste any more time and rush to Luqa if you are planning to spend your vacation in Malta.
